Keith from Verizon Careers offered us our next piece of advice for our series of ! He says:
"Take time to update your resume before attending a career fair.
Being prepared with an up-to-date resume shows your interest in and dedication to the job search process. Most recruiters will immediately lose interest when a candidate says, “this is an old resume” or, “I didn’t have time to update my resume”."
Thanks Keith!

Meet our employee of the week: Bonnie Cola! Her best career related tip is,
"Do what you love; love what you do. It sounds cliché, but it’s true. At the end of last semester I made the huge decision to change my major and I haven’t regretted it for a second! It was scary and it added time onto my schooling, but I am now pursuing a career with my favorite company, Disney! I even scored a paid internship at Walt Disney World doing the Disney College Program next semester! I would have never done it if I hadn’t changed my major and stopped doing what I thought I had to and started doing what I love."
Thank you Bonnie and good luck at the Disney College Program!

Valmark Securities recently mentioned their experience working with UA students in an article for LifeHealthPro!
"We believe these young people are our future. It’s a big investment of money and time, but this is an opportunity for us to do something good for the student, to help the university and to build our team internally. We want to put these young people on a trajectory to go out and be the next generation in our industry. So we’ve made a conscious decision to make a big investment of our time and money.”
