Wow! What an INCREDIBLE day at the University of Akron for our Start by Believing Day pledge event. Thank you to the University of Akron SAVE team for helping us make this event a reality - we couldn't have pulled this off without your collaboration, especially Dean of Students Michael Strong and Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center! We also want to give a special thank you to the student volunteers who ran our activity stations, including memebrs of the University of Akron Student Government and Alpha Phi, Delta Gamma, and Alpha Delta Pi sororities.
So many students stopped by to sign our pledge, learn more about common myths surrounding sexual violence, resources available for survivors, and how to support someone who discloses a sexual assault incident to them. We heard a lot of great conversations happening around all of our stations.
