Andi is up next for our series! He hasn't been with us for that long, and he's graduating in December, but we're grateful for his work on Collaboratory! He takes data collection and analysis very seriously. He's taken two [Un]classes and with those skills, he gets to work with Summit Metro Parks on sociological studies!

Last week, our Birding to Save the World [Un]class practiced bird watching by doing a Scavenger Hunt designed by Kasey, Education Coordinator ! It was awesome, and now they're ready to search for the real thing.

The 2024 ‘Out’ of the Archives: Exploring Akron’s LGBTQ+ History” [Un]class and the oral history archive that has followed, recently had some news coverage! Check it out here!

Absolutely LOVED writing this one: How one Ohio college class assembled a city’s untold LGBTQ+ history.

Akron didn’t have a central collection of LGBTQ+ history. Two professors and a cadre of students are changing that.

Welcome back to campus Zips! This week, we want you to !

First one up is our Director, Dr. Christin Seher. She's been at EX[L] since 2020, taking over for co-directors Dr. Carolyn Behrman and Anoo Vyas. Now she also has the title of Director of Community Impact - she works on strategic initiatives for community engagement, social impact, and public outreach. It's a hard job, but she's the best and we're so glad Zippy thinks so too 😉
