Housing is a human right — and this year, we have the chance to write that into the City of Akron’s charter. We are running TWO major ballot initiatives that will but housing justice on the ballot!

But here’s the truth: none of this happens without you. We need 5,000 signatures for EACH initiative — and that means we need passionate, committed people showing up and doing the work alongside us.

That’s why we’re asking you to join us for our group canvass days, starting this Sunday, May 31st from 2–4pm — and every canvass day after that. No experience needed. We’ll provide all the training and materials. What we need is YOU — someone who believes housing justice matters and is ready to bring this win home for Akron.

Safety is: Youth Mental Health. Nationwide, 40% of teens report struggling with mental health. Join us tonight in conversation with Dr. Curtis Williams II from Minority Behavioral Health Group. 652 W Exchange Street. 6-8pm.

We build what we need! Join us this Thursday to learn how you can help collect signatures to get our housing policies and stronger police oversight policies on the ballot this November!! No one is coming to change the conditions in our community, we have to do it! Join us!
