🎃🍂 Have you heard of PUMPKIN MATH?! 🎃➕📏

It’s one of our third graders’ favorite activities each year, and we need YOUR help to make it happen! 🧡

Our third graders are looking for 50–60 pumpkins for their annual Pumpkin Math fun! If you have any extra pumpkins in your garden that are ready to be carved or would like to donate a few, our third graders would be SO grateful! 🎃🍁

Our Lost & Found is overflowing with goodies that are just waiting to be reunited with their owners! 🥹 From sweatshirts to water bottles and everything in between, there are lots of items hoping to make their way back where they belong!

🍎 Remember when Johnny Appleseed came to read to our kiddos?! 📚 Well, our first graders kept the apple fun going!

They brought in their very own apples and got to work making applesauce—from scratch! 👩‍🍳🍎 They peeled, chopped, stirred, and watched their apples transform into a delicious treat.

And the best part? They got to eat it, too! 😋

It sure was a YUMMY day in first grade! 🍎❤️

Secret Stories are safe to enter! 🤫📚

Our first graders had a top-secret special event! 🕵️‍♀️🔐 Mrs. Olk had the honor of carrying the very first Secret Story into the classroom—but don’t worry, we made sure the coast was clear and the scene was secure! 🫡

So, what exactly are Secret Stories? They are top-secret phonics rules that help students make sense of phonics patterns, making reading easier and more exciting, and in turn helps our young readers become more confident in their reading skills! 📖✨

Let’s just say… they’re kind of a big deal. 😉

Our lucky first graders took a bite out of hands-on learning today with a trip to Rippleside’s very own apple orchard! Every student got to pick their own fresh apple right from the tree to enjoy during snacktime. Talk about a fruitful field trip! 🕵️‍♂️✨

Our most recent Gobbler Greatness award goes to Paisley H!! She demonstrated “Catch the Wave” behavior in her classroom this week by helping to stack down chairs that weren’t hers and for being a great friend. A classmate didnt know where to sit and she noticed an extra spot at her table, inviting the friend to join her.. She has also been working hard on her voice level in the cafeteria at breakfast and lunch times! Keep up the awesome work, Miss Paisley!
