We are shining the spotlight on the outstanding volunteer efforts of the NJROTC cadets from Kennedy Middle and South Aiken High in our first community service event of the new school year. We had 24 cadets spend 5 hours volunteering in the extreme heat at the Purple Sneaker Kick-Off event at the Aiken Memory Center, providing a total of 120 hours of service to the community. Their efforts were very much appreciated by the staff at the Memory Center. Their behavior and dedication were praised by multiple people and have already been asked back. They were fantastic ambassadors for both schools.

Wednesday, August 19th will be the first early dismissal day of the 2026–27 school year!

Students will be dismissed early while our teachers and staff use the afternoon for professional development, collaboration, and additional training to support student success.

Mark your calendars now for the kickoff of the Kennedy Middle football season. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the gate for $7.00.

Congratulations to the students selected for this year’s football team. The jamboree, which kicks off the football season, will be held on September 2nd at 6:00 PM at the recently renovated South Aiken High School stadium. We hope to see you there!
