Math is hands-on in Mrs. Sokolik’s classroom! Students used two-color counters and ten frames to explore different ways to make 10, building a strong foundation for addition.

Then, they put their skills into action with a game of “Roll a Total,” rolling dice, identifying the two parts, and adding them together to find the whole.

There’s something special about looking back and seeing just how much has changed… and how much has stayed the same.

Last week, our sixth graders put the scientific method into action with S’mores!

They took their experiment one step further by testing the melting rates of different types of chocolate. Students made inferences, developed hypotheses, identified and discussed variables, and put their ideas to the test.

And what better way to wrap up a lesson about S’mores than with a sweet surprise? Mrs. Gojda treated everyone to homemade S’mores cookies!

Hands-on learning, curious minds, and a little chocolate along the way—that’s a pretty great day of science at Mead Hall!

Our JV Volleyball girls are geared up and ready to kick off the season! They’ll take on at Sandhills at 4:30 PM, followed by Varsity hitting the court at 5:30 PM!

There’s nothing quite like a birthday serenade!

Mr. McLaughlin brought together a wonderful group of students to help make Ms. Liz’s birthday extra special with a song just for her!

We love seeing the joy, talent, and sense of community that fill our halls—and we hope Ms. Liz felt just how loved and appreciated she is.

Day 2 is underway, and it’s been a full day of memories for our Upper School Panthers!

From breakfast to a meaningful time together at chapel, then hitting the water for an exciting afternoon of rafting, there have been plenty of smiles and laughter along the way. And, of course, no bus ride is complete without a little karaoke!

Now, they’re winding down after a great day gathered around the bonfire.

Mountain Madness is about so much more than the activities—it’s time together, friendships strengthened, faith shared, and memories made.

Our Upper School Panthers are officially off on one of those trips they’ll be talking about long after they return home!

Day 1 brought plenty of adventure on the road to Valle Crucis—including a little unexpected detour that reminded us that sometimes the best memories come from the moments you didn’t plan. Through it all, our students and teachers rolled with it, enjoyed time together, and kept the Mountain Madness spirit going strong.

Now they’re ready for the days ahead—time outdoors, new experiences, lots of laughter, and the chance to grow closer as a school community.
