What’s the best advice for a communication major? We asked the department chair.

USCA Marketing Intern and communication major Madison Elwell interviewed Dr. Jason Munsell, chair of the Department of Communication and Emerging Media, about what he’d tell students heading into the field. His answer: get hands-on experience, visit Career Services and pursue internships.

He also shared what he enjoys most about teaching at USCA: seeing students grow and go on to do wonderful things. 💙

Two USCA Teaching Fellows took the stage at a statewide conference! 🍎

Caroline Watson and Kaitlyn Redd presented “Building Relationships One ‘Night’ at a Time” at the South Carolina Association of Teacher Educators (SCATE) conference in Greenwood, sharing how USCA Teaching Fellows and Aiken County Public Schools team up on Math, STEM, Literacy and Family Engagement nights. They also joined a panel of future educators from across the state.
