South Aiken Presbyterian Kindergarten

We know it's summer, but we have one more important acknowledgement to make before we fade away until Fall.

Today marks the official last day for our SAPK Director, Jennifer Huntley. This was a difficult personal decision, and we will miss her terribly as she moves on to the next adventure in her life.

We would also like to introduce Dawn Thurston - and how today marks her first day as the official SAPK Director! She has been working closely with Jennifer for several weeks in order to get to know the staff, explore the building, understand the current systems in place, and get ready for a new year. We're excited to have her join our SAPK family!

We took a moment to celebrate Jennifer and her accomplishments at our teacher luncheon on the last day of school, and provided notes of encouragement and a memento canvas made of fingerprints of every staff member and child in the school. She has done great work here at SAPK over the past few years, and we have loved working with her. Please take a moment to thank Jennifer below, and welcome Dawn to this new position!

We'll miss our students, but we hope you all have a wonderful time together as a family, soaking up the summer sun. And if you've registered for a summer camp - we'll see you soon!

We've had an incredible time going through our ABC countdown to summer, and we've reached the end. Classrooms are empty, chairs are stacked, and we're just getting ready for graduation tomorrow.

To all of our students and their families - we've loved getting to know you over the course of this year! We can't believe how much our students have grown.

For those of you moving on to different schools - we'll miss you, and don't forget to keep in touch and let us know about your child's achievements!

And for those of you coming back to us in the fall - see you soon!

You are cordially invited to attend the graduation ceremony of the SAPK Class of 2026. Help us to celebrate the accomplishments of our 12 students as they end their time in our hallways and move on to the next step in their education.

Join us in the Sanctuary at 9:00am on Thursday, May 21st; then, join us for a reception following the official graduation, including a music program by our graduates and light refreshments.

Get ready - end of year programs for 2K, 3K, and 4K are THIS WEEK!

Join us at 10am in the FLC Gymnasium on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday of this week for each program. Our students have been working hard to prepare songs and poems for their families, and they can't wait to show off all that they learned! Light refreshments will follow.

Programs will be recorded, but will only be released to immediate family members through our private Brightwheel app for student safety.

Our first offered week will follow an Animal Safari, as students explore the wilderness and see amazing animals all around!

Then, week 2, we're going Around the World...cup! Each day, explore a different country that will be participating in the upcoming World Cup. It's sure to present a wide variety of experiences!

This morning camp, from 9am to 12pm, is a fun-filled adventure as we learn about how God joins us on all of the adventures throughout our life!

I think this may just be our favorite day in our ABC countdown...Mustache Day! Our students are truly rocking this fuzzy facial hair

Get ready for this classic tradition - we'll have books on display from the Scholastic Book Fair all week!

Students will visit the fair at the start of the week to write wish lists and look at the titles available. Then, parents will receive a QR code to order online - or, you can create an E-Wallet so children can shop for themselves!
