Quarter 1 Interim Update

This week marks the Quarter 1 interim point and the start of our fifth week of school. Grades are entered and updated weekly, and all student grades will be current for the interim date on August 19.

✅ Please take time to review your student’s grades in PowerSchool. If you need help accessing PowerSchool on your phone or signing up for the Parent Portal, contact our office or your student’s home school office.

💻 Reminder: District devices are for school-related use only. Devices are monitored by Linewize, and alerts are sent when potentially dangerous or inappropriate content is detected. Personal conversations, writing, and other non-school activities should take place on personal devices.

📝 We also want to remind students and families about academic integrity expectations. Students do not receive redo opportunities after an academic integrity violation. When students are unsure about an assignment, please encourage them to contact their teacher for support before submitting their work.

Wednesday, August 19th will be the first early dismissal day of the 2026–27 school year!

Students will be dismissed early while our teachers and staff use the afternoon for professional development, collaboration, and additional training to support student success.

📣 Aiken iNNOVATE Students & Learning Coaches

As we wrap up the second week of school, students have completed their first set of weekly deadlines. Please remember to check Schoology → Upcoming Assignments for the weekly list of assignments and deadlines.

If you have questions about what your student needs to complete to stay on pace, please reach out to their teachers. Students are also encouraged to attend teacher office hours, which take place daily.

Midland Valley High School Seniors!!!

MVHS is having a Senior Kickoff Event on Tuesday, August 4th from 8:20am - 11:40am at Midland Valley High School. There will be lots of important information that students will need to have a successful senior year and several door prizes including prom tickets, yearbook vouchers, senior breakfast tickets, t-shirts, and more!

MVHS is also hosting a Senior Parent Night on August 4th at 5:30pm. Please plan to attend.

Aiken iNNOVATE Weekly Update — We're Officially Underway! 🚀

Hey Aiken iNNOVATE families! A few important updates as we kick off this week:

✅ Onboarding should be complete! All three modules of the "Connected Student" orientation course are required — and they're always available as a resource going forward.

📅 Course content begins THIS WEEK! Live session links are in Microsoft Teams — have your student check their Teams calendar now so they know when to show up.

📰 Watch for The Innovator's Edge! Our weekly newsletter goes out every Sunday at 6:15 PM. It's packed with important dates, grading info, and helpful links. Not seeing it? Check your spam folder — or email us at [email protected].

👨‍👩‍👧 Parents — check in this week! Peek at your student's assignments in Schoology and make sure they're attending their live sessions. Your support makes all the difference!
