Anyone interested in community service activity? Come volunteer with us at the Honolulu Marathon on Sunday, December 8, 2024!

Healthcare School of Hawaii and The Philippine Nurses Association of Hawaii will be providing First Aid at the Station 7 Niu Valley Medical Tent again (4th year in a row). Volunteers get free lunch, T-shirt & hat. Different shifts are available - and its okay to sign up under 'Other Med' if the RN slots are full. MDs, RNs, CNAs, NAs, or anyone with basic FA certification can sign up.

It's a fun experience to see the first runners come through - and to cheer everyone on for support! It's also a great way to put your basic First Aid skills to use - because the runners definitely need it by the time they reach our station!

Deadline to sign up is 11/2/24.

"Scholarship Grant” for HSCH Nursing Assistant Program Applicants

Dear Joe,

Nice seeing you today. To recap, here’s what you can let your applicants know about our scholarships. If they work with us for a specified time.

If they can pay the full amount, we will reimburse the full tuition
If they can pay the $400 deposit, we will pay the balance and reimburse the $400 deposit to the student
If they cannot pay the deposit, we’ll pay it, then pay the rest upon completion of the course.

Financial Assistance Program for Prospective Healthcare School of Hawaii Students -

Kākoʻo Ulu ʻOihana (KUO) offers a financial assistance program for health education. KUO provides a one-time support for eligible applicants who are preparing for or are in a health discipline program. Awardees will receive funding for support that may include, but not limited to, books, supplies, board prep courses, certifications, recertifications, and licensure.

KUO opens tomorrow, September 18 @ 12:01 AM HT and closes October 30 @ 12:00 PM HT.

Any interested Native Hawaiian students or students working in a Native Hawaiian healthcare facility or FQHQ may apply

Those interested in KUO are more than welcomed to join us for an ʻImi ʻIke session to learn more about KUO and how to apply. Participants can attend one or both sessions. Note: ‘Imi ‘Ike sessions will not be recorded. Would be great you join us in one or both of the ‘Imi ‘Ike sessions to learn more about KUO.

7/2/24-Just practicing how to use PPE. So glad that the pandemic is over . Now we can modify use of PPE, without the goggles, without N95. What a relief!
