Honored to meet one of the most famous nursing theorists -Dr Jean Watson, on “Theory of Human Caring”. I remember taking college courses and learning about her. Now, feeling so lucky to finally meet her at PNAA National Convention in Colorado Springs . We surely will incorporate her masterpiece into our nursing assistant program. To my left is Dr Nancy Walch , president PNAH2026-2028, Dr Jean Watson , and Dr Bob Gahol , current president of PNAA.

Anyone interested in community service activity? Come volunteer with us at the Honolulu Marathon on Sunday, December 8, 2024!

Healthcare School of Hawaii and The Philippine Nurses Association of Hawaii will be providing First Aid at the Station 7 Niu Valley Medical Tent again (4th year in a row). Volunteers get free lunch, T-shirt & hat. Different shifts are available - and its okay to sign up under 'Other Med' if the RN slots are full. MDs, RNs, CNAs, NAs, or anyone with basic FA certification can sign up.

It's a fun experience to see the first runners come through - and to cheer everyone on for support! It's also a great way to put your basic First Aid skills to use - because the runners definitely need it by the time they reach our station!

Deadline to sign up is 11/2/24.
