Yesterday Slingshots worked on collar drags and taking the back. Taking the back is like life. We look for opportunities and when we see one we go after it with a sense of purpose and urgency.

Parents get to see their child’s journey up close.

They’ve seen the nervous first classes.

The days where their child didn’t feel like training.

The times they lost, got frustrated, or wanted to give up.

And then, day by day, they kept showing up.

A new belt represents a checkpoint on a hike.

It’s a moment where we pause, look back, feel proud and say:

“Wow… look how far I’ve come.”

But then we turn around and realize there’s still a lot more mountain to climb.

Not because we have to climb. But because we get to climb.

We get to enjoy the climb and gain greater access to ourselves.

Because the real reward isn’t the belt.

The real reward is who we become through the journey.

All smiles today as our Slingshot crew nailed the technique of the day.

We are happy to see our teens training hard, having fun, and sharpening one another.

Our class is primarily for our adult and child competitors who want to spend more time sharpening their takedowns and getting in hard, demanding training. The focus is to supplement Jiu Jitsu with wrestling so that students become comfortable, confident, and dangerous on their feet. DM us “wrestling” if interested
