Inspired by the Torah’s story of G-d resting after creating the world (Genesis 2:1-3), Shabbat celebrates creation and offers a respite from the hectic pace of a busy week. Shabbat calls us to rest, enjoy time together, and delight in simple joys and wonders all around us. Shabbat Shalom to all of our Ilan Ramon Day School family.

Good Shabbos from our family to your family!

Take a moment to slow down and set some time aside to do a family activity this Shabbat. Our favorites? Going on a walk, playing a board game, digging into a good book, and of course, sharing a meal with the people you love.

The Jewish holiday of is tomorrow, and it's a day to say "Happy Birthday" to the trees, to plant, and to remind ourselves to be thoughtful and protective of our environment and all things green. Join us this year by planting a tree, going on a hike, or simply by taking a moment to appreciate the beautiful earth that cares for us.

Good food, great company, wonderful memories. Wishing all a very happy Chanukah!

From your family at Ilan Ramon Day School we wish you a Happy Chanukah filled with love and light.

Start Shabbat with a Mitzvah by gathering the family to make a Tzedakah box! By creating this together, contributing to it, and thinking about a cause to donate the collected money to; you're getting the whole family engaged in conversation about what matters to them.

Every family has its own Shabbat traditions. Our favorite? A fresh baked Challah loaf. Swipe for the recipe!

The ability to change the world. It's a belief that's not just on our T-Shirts, it's our theme for the year. Together you and I will change the world!

What a great moment we had last week celebrating Simchat Torah, when we completed the reading of the Torah and began again with the first words of Genesis! We truly enjoy teaching and nurturing our children's enthusiasm for our rich customs and traditions.

Tashlich, a symbolic ceremony done during the Aseret Yemei Teshuvah, the 10 days of Repentance from
Rosh Hashanah to Yom Kippur. Through this ritual, we express our wish to get rid of our past misdeeds and begin the new year with a clean slate. This year our students casted away their sins at the beach and performed the Mitzvah of a beach clean up.
Tashlich provided our students with an opportunity to reflect on their behavior as a community. They reflected on their behavior as a class, acknowledged mistakes they made and thought of ways to improve their behavior.

It's shofar time! Shana Tovah to you and your family from your friends at Ilan Ramon Day School.
