Agoura High School Counseling Welcome to your Agoura High School Counseling Team's page! We will provide information on dates, deadlines, presentations, upcoming testing, and more.

Agoura High School students are served by six full time counselors. All counselors hold California Pupil Personnel Services Credentials and Master's Degrees. This team is an integral and vital component in the development of the academic and personal goals of all students. They plan, implement and evaluate a counseling program that includes academic, career, personal and social development for all

students. They work with parents, teachers and staff to advocate for high academic achievement and appropriate social development for each student. In direct alignment with the National Standards for School Counseling, the team employs effective strategies to foster:

- proficient and discriminating learners
- creative, critical thinkers
- responsible, productive and ethical citizens. Additionally, the Counseling Team strives to work with students, parents and other staff to facilitate transitions throughout the high school years. Counselors encourage students to be independent, to effectively communicate their needs, and make decisions that will prepare them to be productive and successful in their chosen academic and career paths. When life situations interfere with a student's pursuit of his or her academic and personal goals, it may be helpful for the student to talk with their school counselor.

We hope that your family is staying safe and healthy. Our seniors are not ending their high school years the way any of us imagined, and it is truly heartbreaking and disappointing for them as well as parents and school and district faculty and administration. The Agoura High Administration, Faculty, PFC, and students are working together to identify ways to honor and recognize our seniors and their accomplishments.

Administration and our PFC want to take that first step in recognizing our seniors, so we have ordered Agoura High Class of 2020 yard/window signs for each member of the senior class. We are proud of our seniors and we want the whole community to know it.
