🧵✨ RETREAT MODE: FULLY ACTIVATED! ✨🧵

Today I bring you the Not Your Basic Blue Bag pattern by Kelly! 💙👜 Kelly is a local pattern writer, and we absolutely LOVE her bags. In fact, that’s exactly what we were working on yesterday—and these bags turned out fabulous!

We are having a GRAND time here at the Art Nest Retreat Center. 🪡✂️💕 We wish we were posting more...but honestly, we’re way too busy sewing, laughing, eating, visiting, and having a good time. 😂

And I think we’ve officially reached that magical hour when it’s time to crack open a bottle of wine. 🍷 Cheers, ladies!

🧵✂️ DAY ONE AT THE ART NEST! ✂️🧵

We are officially at the Art Nest Retreat Center, and Day One is in FULL SWING! 🎉🪡 There’s already lots of sewing, lots of laughter, and you know there are going to be plenty of shenanigans before this retreat is over. 😂

✨ Dueling Threads is here with all her beautiful quilting gadgets and gizmos—the kind of things we absolutely need once we see them. 😉

👜 And Mary from Flat Rock Creek is here with all of her fabulous bag-making supplies AND making bags for us…because listen, we sew a lot of things, but we don't have to make everything! 😂

Tonight's agenda: stay up way too late, sew our hearts out, enjoy wonderful food, and soak up some pretty darn great company. ❤️

And while I'm off retreating, Sew Enchanting Equine Quilt Shop is OPEN NORMAL HOURS! So don't let my absence stop you from going fabric shopping. My goodness, someone needs to keep that fabric moving while I'm gone! 😂🛍️

🧵🪡 RETREAT WEEK IS HERE! 🪡🧵

Today, I’m getting PACKED! 🧳✂️ The quilt shop is in tip-top shape, and I’m getting ready to depart Tuesday night so I can get everything set up for our retreat at the Art Nest Retreat Center. 🎉

And don’t you fret—the quilt shop will be OPEN ALL WEEK while I’m gone! ❤️ You’ll get to meet my lovely daughter, Ashley, who will be holding down the fort and running the shop in my absence. Be sweet to her! 😂🥰

📦 RETREATERS: If you placed an order for pickup and you’re coming to retreat, I’ve got it! No need to make an extra trip to the shop—I’ll bring your goodies with me and deliver them when we arrive. Consider me your personal fabric delivery service. 😂🧵

I hope everyone has a wonderful week! I’m ready for several days of sewing, laughing, eating, creating, and spending time with some pretty fabulous women. 💕✂️

🧵✨ FRIDAY SHENANIGANS at the quilt shop! ✨🧵

It’s been one of those busy-behind-the-scenes kind of Fridays! Both longarms are humming away, I’m getting caught up on paperwork, and orders are being placed for all those Featherweight goodies we’re running low on.

📦 We also got a fresh box of notions AND a big restock of SF101—because LORD KNOWS you girls roll through the foam and SF101 around here! 😂 We are officially stocked back up and ready for you.

Meanwhile, Barbara is out in the shop working her magic—organizing, rearranging, and finding every possible nook and cranny to display more fabric. I was going to say “hide” fabric…but we’ll call it displaying. 🤣🧵

And we’re putting together a special custom bundle for one of our favorites all the way over in Illinois. ❤️ Linda, thank you so much! We’ll finish your bundle up in the morning, and I think you’re going to LOVE it.

As for me, I’m calling it a day because MY HUSBAND IS HOME! 🎉 He’s been gone for a MONTH, so we’re enjoying some much-needed quiet downtime together. I even managed to get him to take me out to dinner. 💃🏻🍽️❤️
