Back to School Open House
Greetings Star Valley Middle School Students & Parents. We are excited to meet those of you who are new to our school and rekindle friendships with those of you who are returning.

Back to School Night will be held Aug. 18th from 4 – 6pm. This will be a great opportunity to receive schedules, meet teachers, see classrooms and find lockers.

We look forward to seeing all our students on Aug. 20th for the first day of school.
Volleyball – Football – Cross Country

Cross country, football and volleyball will start Monday, August 24th, after school. Each athlete will need a physical that was completed after May 1st 2026, sign consent forms (available online or in the office), in order to practice and/or tryout. There will also be an activity fee per student to participate in a fall sport.

We will be doing concussion screening for Middle School athletes on Tuesday, August 11th from 8:00am – 4:00pm. We need to test all 7th graders that plan to participate in a fall sport and any new 8th grader this year. If your child has a smart phone we would ask that you have them download the Sway Medical app. If they do not have a device we will provide one for them. This will help us speed up the process. If you choose to not have them download the app that is okay and we respect your decision. We anticipate that this will take each athlete around 30 minutes. You can go to https://svms.lcsd2.org/calendar/ to see the current schedule for cross county, football, and volleyball. Please remember that these schedules do change with events being added and taken off throughout each season.

Middle School Football Camp
July 27 - July 29
5-6:30 PM
SVHS Field
$30 CAMP fee (This is a separate fee from the Middle School sports fee)
For all those who are entering 7th and 8th grade this fall.
We will be handing out gear from 5-7pm, July 23rd, at the middle school.
This will be the equipment that the players will use for camp and then the whole middle school season.
We will also give out equipment on Monday, July 27th, from 4-5 pm for those who cannot make it on Thursday the 23rd.
Players will register for camp that day as well. Please get your physical done for the season and bring it with you on that day. You must have a physical dated after May 1st, 2026.
Make sure to pass this on to your friends so they do not miss out.

Lincoln County #2 Transportation Department is encouraging parents and guardians to sign up for the EZ Arrival app before the school year begins. Early registration will help families become familiar with the app and allow the transportation department to provide a smoother start to the school year. This app is taking place of our previous app Bus Quest.

By getting families signed up early, we hope to reduce confusion and minimize the challenges that often occur during the first few weeks of school.
