Happy Birthday to Our AMAZING Principal! The staff and students loved celebrating you today with MANY balloons and MANY coloring pages of You! 🎈 🎂

Our first graders went on a field trip to tour Broulim's. We loved being able to walk inside of the coolers, watch the box smasher, and see all of the different departments. Special thanks to Justine and Jean for the awesome tour and snacks at the end! THANK YOU BROULIM'S!

❤️ YOU BELONG HERE! ❤️

At Afton Elementary, one of our biggest focuses this year is connection and belonging.

Through our House System, shared values, and meaningful experiences, we are intentionally building connections between students, staff, and families and strengthening the sense of community that makes Afton such a special place.

We want every Little Chief—and every person who is part of our school community—to know:

YOU BELONG HERE! ❤️🖤💚💙

Be Safe. Be Respectful. Be Responsible.

🏠🎉 House Sorting Day is Tomorrow! 🎉🏠

Tomorrow, all new Afton Elementary students in grades 1–3 will take part in our House Sorting Ceremony and officially discover their House! ❤️💙💚🖤

⭐ Little Chiefs—wear your HOUSE COLORS tomorrow! ⭐
Our entire school will gather in the gym for the ceremony, and each House will get to welcome its newest members together! We can’t wait to see the House spirit fill the gym!

Our kindergarten students will have their special House Sorting Ceremony on September 18th.

To help students get excited and understand what being part of a House is all about, we’ve shared this book by Ron Clark Academy co-founder Kim Bearden. Feel free to watch it at home with your kids as we get ready for the big day!

🏠 Four Houses. One Family.
We can’t wait to welcome our newest Little Chiefs into their House Family!
