Today marks the first day of National Reading Month.
T.E.A.C.H. created and experienced a wonderful opportunity of donating close to 350 brand new and some gently used books for Michener Elementary’s preschool through fifth grade students.
Thank you to student government who assisted by approving our fund request for 248 brand new books from Scholastic. Thank you to all who donated, assembled, and delivered.
Each student at Michener Elementary will get a book to keep, as many students do not have any books at home.
Do what you can this month to support children’s literacy! Whether you volunteer in a class read aloud or gift a class bookmarks.
