Gannon Frentress entered her artwork in the Best of the Southwest art exhibition hosted by Arts in the Sunset for age group 11-16.

Her painting titled Western Sunrise placed 3rd, and her painting titled Man on the Moon placed 2nd!

Last spring, two of our 7th-grade students took the PreACT (8/9). The exam provides a preview of the ACT experience and predicts how students might perform as juniors & seniors.

The PreACT Rising Stars program recognizes honors students at three levels:

Distinguished Scholars
Rising Scholars
Early Scholars

We have been notified that both of our students, Susy Dyck and Emma Watts, have received the national achievement award at the Rising Scholars level. This means that they scored in the top 4%-10% nationally.

Congratulations, Susy and Emma, on being recognized by the PreACT Rising Stars Program. Your hard work has paid off, and we are incredibly proud of what you’ve accomplished!

Hello Matador Family!!

I am so excited to see everyone back in the building Tuesday!! To help your child's first day go smoothly, please make sure they have what they need to be successful. I've attached the school supply list below along with the dress code. This is also TAX FREE WEEKEND!! So it's a great time to get those last few items you may need or refresh your clothes to meet dress code.

Summer Update:

Our cheerleaders had the opportunity to have the National Cheerleaders Association put on a camp at the Adrian School this summer. Both the junior high and high school cheer squads attended and had a great time honing their skills and learning, new chants, cheers, and dance moves.

Two of our cheerleaders were nominated for the NCA All-American Program, senior Miley Wortman and 8th grader Cyra Salinas. These 2 girls tried out and both won!! We are so proud of these girls for this prestigious recognition in cheerleading!

🎉🌟 We are so excited to announce that 2 of our teachers are nominated for Region 16 Teacher of the Year. Beth Bowles, 2nd grade teacher, and Bobbi Norwood, high school science. Both create fun and exciting learning opportunities that grow our students, and they are also involved in leadership committees on our campus.

Congratulations to both of these outstanding educators. We are so very blessed to have them as part of our Matador Team!
