Friday, June 7th

Field Day and Family Picnic (Field Day for Y5-2nd grade from 9AM-11:15AM with family picnic from 11:20-12:15PM; and family picnic for 3rd-5th grade from 12:30-1:15PM followed by Field Day events from 1:15PM-3:15PM. We need many volunteers for this event, please contact the school office if you are able to help at field day! 517-263-9533.

Monday, June 10th

Delayed start day. School starts at 12:03PM with lunch served to students who need it starting at 11:15AM.

Tuesday, June 11th

Last day of school with dismissal at 12:10PM
Awards assembly at 9AM. If your student will be receiving an award, you will be notified by Friday, June 7th.

Moms, Dads, Grandpas, Grandmas, Aunts and Uncles please help us make Field Day a great event for our students by volunteering. Field Day is next Friday, June 7. We are in need of volunteers for the morning, afternoon and all day! This is such a fun event for our students, and you will have fun too!

[05/30/19]   Due to a building issue, the Boys and Girls Club will be closed Thursday and Friday.

NED Kindness Assembly items are available to purchase in the school office! Portions of the proceeds provide over 100 gallons of clean water for kids in Kenya. Proceeds also provide the Kindness Assembly to schools all over the US at no cost. (Items will be available until Tuesday, June 4)

We had a blast at our final Good News Assembly! Congratulations to our Students of the Month, attendance winners and the Dentist R Us winner of the tablet. Also at our assembly Mr. Perez handed over the keys to Alexander to Mrs. Henline today. WELCOME to Alexander Mrs. Henline. Many good wishes as you move on to the high school Mr. Perez. We will miss you!

Don't forget: Our Kindergarten and Young Five's Book Bingo event is tonight at Alexander at 6PM! Many great books and prizes will be given away, you won't want to miss this one!

Tuesday is the last day for the Penny War! We can't wait to see who wins!

[05/23/19]   June 11th is the last day of school for all school buildings. This will be a half day. All snow days, delays, and the Prairie power outage have been forgiven from MDE and we are allowed to move forward with our original scheduled calendar for the remainder of the year.

Here it is...the LAST lunch menu of the year! Take Note: June 10th is a delayed start day, so school starts at 12:03PM. Lunch will be served starting at 11:03AM for students who need lunch.

[05/23/19]   As we near the end of the school year please ensure that the school has your correct address and phone number. Final report cards are mailed the week after school gets out. Important alerts will be sent out via phone over the summer, so in order to make sure you get all of the information we send out, proper information is required. (A proof of residency such as a utility bill, copy of lease or mortgage is required to update an address, these can be turned into the office.)

[05/23/19]   Friday, May 24th is a Half Day of school. We dismiss at 12:10PM. No lunch is served. There is no school on Monday, May 27th in observance of Memorial Day.

Root beer Float day was a hit! Great job filling our PRIDE bucket kiddos! Let's see how many PRIDE tickets we can get before the end of the school year! Thank you to our volunteers who made root beer floats all day for the students!

As we near the end of the school year there are many things going on here at Alexander. Please take a minute to read about what is going on this week!

Tuesday, May 14th our 4th grade students will be participating in the Link Up Program with the Adrian Symphony Orchestra. Please make sure your 4th grader has their recorder and a signed permission slip at school tomorrow.

Tuesday, May 14th at 4:15PM, PTO meeting in the library. Next year's principal Shanan Henline will be here to introduce herself to parents. Please take the time to stop by and meet her.

Thursday, May 16th our 2nd grade students will be waking the the Lenawee Historical Museum. Please make sure they have proper attire for the weather and a permission slip turned in.

Friday, May 17th is Popcorn Friday. 50 cents per bag.

Bike to School Day has been rescheduled until May 20th. Meet at 1Mosaic Church at 7:45AM on Monday, May 20th to participate in bike to school day.

We raised almost $2800 for the PTO! This will go a long way in supporting our students and teachers. Baskets are available for pick up in the office.
