Congratulations to the APS artists that have been selected to have their artwork represented in the Adrian Public Schools Downtown Exhibition. The artwork will be on display in the sidewalk windows of downtown Adrian businesses.

Adrian High School students in Mrs. Miller's ceramics class recently spent time taking part in the ancient Japanese ceramics technique of Raku Firing. The history of Raku Firing traces back to the 16th-century, and traditionally, the pieces were handmade, not thrown.
A big thank you goes out to the Adrian Schools Educational Foundation for providing the grant that was used to purchase the new Kiln, allowing students to learn this ancient art.

This past weekend AHS National Honor Society Students held their annual Trunk or Treat Halloween event. The event which was open to the public, provided over 225 local children and families a fun and safe Halloween alternative. GO MAPLES!!!

Dear Seniors,
A representative will be in the senior lobby from 7:30 - 1:30 to take your cap and gown orders. Caps and Gowns are $55 and you may pay by check (payable to Scholastic), credit card, or cash. If you are unable to order on Wednesday, the representative will be here in October for a make-up order day. After the October date, the price will increase to $65.
Orders placed on Wednesday 9/23 will receive a free commemorative tassel.

NHS Induction is scheduled for Wednesday, September 23 in the AHS courtyard. The induction ceremony will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. This is a formal induction ceremony please address in nice clothes. NHS inductees need to arrive at 6:45 p.m. and students need to report to the IB office. Twenty-two students will be inducted into the NHS and each student is permitted to bring 2 guests. All guests need to wear a mask and physically distance themselves from one another in the courtyard. Please enter AHS via the main entrance. We will host a virtual parent advisory meeting on Wednesday, September 23 from 6-7 p.m. Online parents can join the meeting from 6-6:30 p.m., and face to face parents can join the meeting from 6:30-7:00 p.m.
