We have a couple of fun events coming up here at Sutton! Students will be attending the Senior Parade tomorrow, May 16, at the high school. We will take buses over and watch the parade that begins at 2:00.
We also have our annual family picnic and field day coming up on Wednesday, May 29.
Family Picnic: Please arrive between 11:40 and noon. Park in the West Lot (drop-off and pick up area). You will come directly to the playground in the back of the school and sign in and get a visitor sticker. Each teacher will have a sign-in sheet on a table. There will be a balloon that helps you locate your teacher’s sign-in sheet. Mrs. Rodriguez’s and Mrs. Malbone’s tables will be located on the side of the building outside of their classrooms.
Teachers will bring their classes out at 12:10. Please make sure you are standing by your teacher’s sign-in area to get your child at that time. The teachers take their lunch from 12:15-1:00. Sutton staff will line students up and take them back into the building at 1:00. Please do not take students from the school grounds during the picnic. If you need to sign your child out for any reason during the picnic, you will need to sign him/her out in the office.
*Please note that there may be very long lines at the drive-thrus. Students may purchase a sack lunch from the school. Sack lunch will include Hot dog, chips, an apple, carrots, small treat and a small water bottle. We will also have two food trucks here that day. Funky Dawgs and Rolling Fresh will be here. You are welcome to order food if you would like. Menus will be available soon.
Field Day: Students will come back out with their classes at 1:15. If you are planning on staying to observe the activities, you may rotate to each station with your child’s class or volunteer to help at a station (reach out to Sutton PTO). All students will need to stay with their class and teacher for each activity unless leaving early (teachers will have a sign-out sheet). Please do not take your child away from the group to play on playground equipment. This makes it very difficult for teachers to supervise all of their students.
Looking forward to seeing all of your smiling faces!
