The referral window for Adrian ISD Gifted and Talented Services is open now through October 23rd.

Look at the Bright Child vs. the Gifted Child lists. If you have an Adrian ISD student who meets the Gifted Learner criteria and would like to refer them for GT services, please contact Mrs. Boydstun to request a referral packet.

We need to give a Woot Woot for some of our Matadors!

Rodey saw some trash outside on the way in from PE. Without being asked, he stopped, picked it up, and took it inside to throw away! Way to show the Matador Way by keeping our playground nice!

Jared & George offered to pay for a friend’s lunch who had forgotten his lunch money on a field trip. The manager at McDonalds was very impressed by their kindness.

River was out in the hallway during the Pledge of Allegiance and saw one of our littles. She stopped what she was doing, helped the PK student put her hand on her heart, face the front of the building where our flag was, and say the pledge. This showed honor and respect for our flag and our Nation AND she modeled that to someone younger than herself. Way to show your character River!

It's that time of year again, when students start getting notifications about different academic programs that are available, and what they offer. Most of them offer amazing opportunities, but many of them come with a hefty price-tag. Sometimes there are hidden fees that come up after you have committed to the program. Others may offer an opportunity for a scholarship, but it costs you more than the scholarship is worth to travel and attend the event.

I have attached a flyer to help you research the programs, know what to ask, and know what to look for before you make a decision.

If you are unsure about something your child has received in the mail or email, please reach out to the counselor or admin team and we will help you in any way we can!

Woot Woot Part 2

We have several more Woot Woots to celebrate this week!

Miss River for being a big helper for of our little ones. She was really taking good care of her!

Last spring, two of our 7th-grade students were eligible to take the PreACT (8/9). The exam provides a preview of the ACT experience and predicts how students might perform as juniors & seniors.

The PreACT Rising Stars program recognizes honors students at three levels:
Distinguished Scholars
Rising Scholars
Early Scholars

We have been notified that both of our students, Susy Dyck and Emma Watts, have received the national achievement award at the Rising Scholars level. This means that they scored in the top 4%-10% nationally.

Congratulations, Susy and Emma, on being recognized by the PreACT Rising Stars Program. Your hard work has paid off, and we are incredibly proud of what you’ve accomplished!
