Kace will now lead us in The Pledge of Allegiance. 🇺🇸 Thank you, Kace! ❤🤍💙❤🤍💙❤🤍💙
Good Morning Prairie Elementary!!! 🌞 Happy Friday! 😁 There is no school on Monday, May 25, 2020 in honor of Memorial Day. 🇺🇲 Memorial Day is a federal holiday, observed on the last Monday of May, honoring and mourning the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Did you know? The National Moment of Remembrance is an annual event, beginning in the year 2000, that asks Americans, wherever they are at 3:00 p.m. local time on Memorial Day, to pause for a duration of one minute to remember those who have died in military service to the United States of America. Kelsey Martin will now lead us in The Pledge of Allegiance.

[05/18/20]   Do you have a child who is eligible for young 5’s or kindergarten this fall? We’d love to have them be a part of our Prairie family!

Prairie Elementary school is a part of the Adrian Public School district. We are located out on Airport Road, in the middle of the quaint Airport subdivision. We have fields on 3 sides of our building, with the subdivision located just on the other side of the street. We are the smallest elementary building in the school district, which certainly gives our school the feeling of a close knit family. We offer many fun family activities throughout the school year, and provide many opportunities for our families to be involved.

If you are out of our school district, we offer busing for school of choice.

Kindergarten registration is currently happening at our building and you may pick up a packet anytime. We would love to have you be a part of our Prairie family.

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to all our teachers and staff! We are so thankful for each and every one of you. If you’d like to thank your teacher or a staff member, take a picture with a sign of thanks and upload it in the comments!
Teachers and staff be on the lookout for some goodies coming your way this week! 🎉🎉

As we all navigate through our Distance Learning, we understand it can be challenging to stay on track. We are excited to announce that we will be recognizing how hard your child has been working during this time. So it's time to celebrate with our Prairie Pride Celebration for the month of May. We will be recognizing students each week and giving away prizes.

How can you earn these prizes?
Participation: Your child will need to participate in their teacher’s classroom meeting (Zoom, Google Meet) each week. The teacher takes attendance and submits the names of the students for the drawing.

Completed work: Show your child’s completed work from their Think Stretch booklets to their teacher. This can be sent through Class Dojo or show the teacher during their class meeting.

So that is two different ways they can earn their name being put into the drawing.

At the end of each week, teachers will be giving names of students to the Prairie PRIDE Patrol. These students’ names will be going into the weekly drawing. We will announce the winners on our Prairie page on Sunday of each week. If you don’t have access to it, don’t worry. We will get a hold of you and the Prairie PRIDE Patrol will be dropping off the prizes!!

If you have any questions, please feel free to email Mr. Lewandowski at [email protected].
