STARS (Striving To Achieve Reading Success) is an academic, structured mentoring program that pairs developing readers with volunteer mentors from our community, as one-on-one mentoring has proven to be an academic boost for struggling students. Why volunteer? It only takes one caring adult to help a child to read, grow, and succeed! No teaching experience? No problem! You don’t have to be a teacher to make a difference; we provide the support and guidance you need to become a successful reading mentor. Become a STARS reading mentor today! To get started, contact Letty Goodlock at Madison Elementary by emailing [email protected], calling 517-264-0744 ext. 332, or visiting the STARS webpage: www.madisonk12.us/families/STARS
