Is anyone getting calls from the school on Sundays? I haven't gotten a weekly announcement for a few weeks.
When can families expect to hear what we need to know for the first days and weeks of virtual learning?
Just a cute little rhyme for the teachers who are learning how to do things differently right along with all the parents and kids. Thank you for caring.

Hi everyone! I hope all of you are well and staying healthy! I miss all my kiddos, especially since we were going to start coding and robotics this third trimester. I had all kinds of fun activities with Sphero, Dash and Dot, Code and Go Mouse, and Botley! I wanted to give you all some ideas of things you can do to continue coding.

You can work on Hour of Code Activities on https://hourofcode.com/us/learn. Just make sure you select your level and device along the left side so the activities match.

Also there are these:
K-1: https://www.codemonkey.com/hour-of-code/codemonkey-jr/
2-5: https://www.codemonkey.com/hour-of-code/

Other fun educational websites:

Students in grades 3-5 have typing accounts on www.typing.com. We usually spend the first 5-10 minutes practicing our home row typing skills.

2nd grade students have SplashLearn accounts as well. Hopefully that information was forwarded to you. If you did not receive it, let me know and I can send you the information. https://www.splashlearn.com

K-1 Students have www.abcmouse.com accounts that they can continue working with as well.

Please feel free to email me if you need other ideas. I hope to see you soon!

Does anyone know if they're delivering outside of the typical district? We are school of choice. I tried calling and no one was there. Not sure how to find out.
Is there gonna be a Spirit Week this year?❄🎄🎅💫

In January 2022, Laurie was diagnosed with stage 4 Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the liver. As of March 2022, Laurie has undergone treatment to battle and beat this horrible disease by traveling locally and out of state for treatments.

As you can imagine, this has taken a toll on Laurie and her husband John, physically, mentally and especially financially. Fundraising will help cover medical and living expenses while Laurie is unable to work and undergoes further treatment. Apart from being a loving, caring and generous friend, Laurie has been a pillar in her community as a special education teacher at Madison Schools for 15 years and a devoted leader of Damascus Road Ministries since 2008. Laurie has given freely to so many over the years and now she needs our help.

Please join us in blessing Laurie and John with your prayers, love and any
financial support you're able to provide.
