Due to Homecoming activities last week, we moved our monthly meeting to Wednesday September 18th @6:00 in the AHS team room. We will be discussing a lot of topics and we would appreciate a full room of parents and community members to share their thoughts.

The Equestrian team captured their second straight district championship on Sunday! They will now compete in the regional meet at Mason at the Ingham County Fairgrounds in two weeks. Members of the team are Eleanor Ott and Liliana Gintack.

🚨Attention any 9th-12th grade Lady Maples interested in playing Softball for the 2024/2025 season, we will have a Player/Parent meeting this Thursday, 9/19 in the High School Library. Please make every effort to attend as we have some important info to cover. 🍁🥎

All parents/guardians and players are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to download the Sportsyou app onto your phone and/or computer. Many Fall teams are using this APP, and in the Winter all teams will be required by the Athletic Department to use it for communications. Each team will have a code that you must obtain from your team’s coach. This is for both Adrian High School and Springbrook Middle School.

On Sunday, the Equestrian team was in action in the first District 10 meet of the season. Riders Elli Ott and Lili Gintack led the team to a 6 point lead over the rest of their competition. Congratulations girls!

If you are planning on playing baseball at Adrian High School this coming season, please plan on attending this meeting.

Our Cross Country teams started their season today by bringing home some hardware! Way to go Maples!

Candlelight Vigil For APS student Dakota Courington

Earlier this month, Adrian Public Schools Freshman Dakota Courington was injured in a hit-and-run accident while working his summer job of mowing lawns. Dakota is currently hospitalized and is in critical condition. Families and students who would like to support Dakota and the Courington family can do so in the following ways:

Attend a candlelight vigil in Island Park tomorrow, Saturday, August 24, at 8:30 p.m. The vigil will be held at the first pavilion. Organizers ask that you bring your own candles.

If you wish to make a financial contribution to help the family with expenses during this difficult time, in that case, you may do so at any TLC Community Credit Union location by asking the teller to deposit the money into “Dakota’s Donation.”

APS will continue to keep Dakota and his family in our thoughts and prayers. Thank you for considering supporting the Courington family and Dakota in any way.
