Ruthann Smith Anderson, class of 75 passed away Sunday. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Judy Loper our Jr. High Secretary is having some health issues and her spirits are down. It has been brought to my attention and we thought if anyone who remembers her would like to send get well, thinking of you cards, we think it could help her spirits and let her know we care. I think that Mike Bednar, his lovely wife Tammy, and Judy Puskarich did a wonderful job planning and pulling off a great reunion. They deserve a round of applause. Todd Piergallini and his crew prepared a feast fit for Kings and Queens (I've forgotten what REAL Italian sausage is supposed to taste like - thanks for reminding me!). Mike Gavorcik did a great job as our DJ. It was great to see friends from the "Class of 77" again as well as friends from other classes. Glad we got the chance to attend!

Great stroll down memory lane. Thanks to whomever is posting, from all the different year books. Super!

What a great evening tonight. Thank you steering committee for organizing everything.

Can anyone share the 82-83 & 83-84 year books online please? I had to leave my favorite school the early part of my sophomore year & never got to see the year books. TYIA

Le Chateau Pier hosted the Ohio Supreme Court and the Jefferson County Bar Association after oral arguments at the high school.

The Ohio Supreme Court heard three cases at Buckeye Local High School. All the area schools attended to observe the arguments. It was great event for our school.

We lost one of our good classmates, Dave Call from the Class of 1976. I remember him scoring 25 points his junior year one game. Our deepest sympathies to Cindy and his children.

Remember that the Alumni Dinner is on Adena Heritage Day and the Icebreaker will be held the night before at LA Pizza in Adena. The Heritage Day Agenda is posted below. We believe that there will be a tremendous turnout for both.

1988 Buckeye West Class. Both basketball teams were excellent with the girls winning the OVAC and the boys advancing to the Districts where we lost to IVS at St John Arena in one of the worst officiated games I have ever seen.

Subject: BUCKEYE WEST REUNION ANNOUNCEMENT

The reunion committee met and announces that the Consumers Bank in Adena and Mt Pleasant and John Parkinson (class of ’83) of Appalachian Capital in St Clairsville will be paying the cost of the reunion at Le Chateau on August 12th, 2023. The committee has decided to charge $30 per couple and $20 per person but use that money to purchase door prizes. The next committee meeting is set for March 23, 2023, at 6:00 at Le Cateau Pier in Smithfield. All are welcome to contribute.
