In 2007, Daniel Radcliffe grew so frustrated with paparazzi that he wore the same jacket and hat daily for months, making their photos impossible to sell.
He did not have an invisibility cloak, but he came up with the next best solution. While performing in a London stage play in 2007, Daniel Radcliffe was followed nightly by paparazzi who waited outside the theater hoping to sell fresh images to tabloids.
His response was surprisingly simple. He wore the exact same jacket and the same hat every night for months. The shirt underneath changed, but the jacket stayed zipped and the hat never changed, keeping his visible appearance identical every time he stepped outside.
Because of this, every photograph looked as if it had been taken on the same day. Tabloids had no interest in buying images that appeared repetitive or outdated, which made the photos nearly worthless.
The result was months of wasted effort for photographers and a quiet victory for an actor who managed to outsmart an entire industry without confrontation or publicity.
