The 8th Annual Phenomenal Queens Symposium was nothing short of magical. The energy in the room was tangible, a force of love, resilience, and sisterhood woven into every moment. Every detail, every word spoken, and every embrace shared reflected the time, dedication, and love poured into this space. This wasn’t just an event; it was a sanctuary. A place where Black women could exhale, uplift, and be uplifted.
To the brilliant Queens who graced us with their wisdom and words, Meanna Kintaudi DeShawn Kintaudi, Dr. Shaneka Bullins, and Shanah Ali your voices were a gift. That original poem, First Born, was pure soul-stirring truth! Thank you for sharing your art, your fire, and your truth with us.
To the tireless, powerful Queens who do the work—who fight, nurture, and lead so that our community continues to thrive. Regina Bell, Pickette Antoinette, Councilwoman Stevevonna Evans, Councilwoman Leslie Irving, DrNakia Wilson, Ms. Debra Mitchell, Tieast, Ms. Jennifer Yancy, Ms. Latanetta Jackson, Ms. Maria Okpara, Dr. Purcell, and Ms. Oshale Hill, I see you, I honor you, I thank you. Your dedication is the heartbeat of our progress, and because of you, the road ahead is brighter for Black women and girls in the High Desert and beyond.
To my sistas of Five Black Women Who Care Stefani Alcazar Andreya Mosley, Jennifer, Oshale, and Lati, you are a testament to the power of collective love and action. We create spaces where we, as Black women, can simply be free, whole, and unburdened. Where we are not asked to shrink but are encouraged to expand. Where we are not just seen but deeply valued. I am humbled to walk alongside you.
Remember, Queens, “choosing myself is power. Loving myself is revolutionary.” May we continue to pour into ourselves as we pour into one another. May we continue to walk in our purpose, heads high, crowns steady.
I love you all so deep ❤️
