Van Meter first grade class visits. Farmer Bobbie and I visited 4 classrooms and determined if chicks were hens or roosters. There are 7 roosters and 12 hens.

It was fun to join the Waukee Innovation and Learning Center students and first graders from Grant Ragan Elementary School to see how much they know about chicks and the chick life cycle.

Woodward-Granger CSD kindergarten classes are starting a unit about plants. They have learned what plants need to grow. Today they invited Dallas County Agriculture in the Classroom Dallas County Farm Bureau to talk about soil and make cover crop monsters.
