Technology Center of DuPage

We were so grateful to the Wood Dale Fire District to receive this beautiful machine as a donation! They have been so generous to our program over the last several decades to ensure our students at Technology Center of DuPage are learning at the highest levels on the equipment that reflects the demands of the industry. We have a full bay of donated trucks and an ambulance from Wood Dale. We promised we would keep cranking out cadets and the truck would go to great use. Our Executive Director, Mike Fumagalli, even got to drive the engine!

This week, we were proud to celebrate our incredible teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week!

A special thank you to our valued partner, the Army National Guard, for stopping by TCD on Wednesday with coffee and muffins for every program. Their thoughtful gesture brought smiles to our staff and highlighted the strong partnerships that help support our students and school community each day.

We are grateful for the Army National Guard’s continued partnership, dedication to our students, and support of our educators. Thank you for helping us recognize the amazing work our teachers do every day!

TCD was excited to welcome students from DuPage County middle schools to campus throughout the week for our Explorer Days!

Students had the opportunity to visit three programs of their choice and participate in a variety of engaging, hands-on activities led by our instructors and current TCD students. From exploring career pathways to trying new skills, Explorer Days gave students a firsthand look at the exciting opportunities available through Career and Technical Education.

We hope this experience inspired students to continue exploring their interests and consider joining the TCD family as juniors and seniors in the future!

This past weekend, our ProStart Culinary Team represented us on the national stage in Baltimore, competing against top programs from across the country. Comprised of dedicated and hardworking students from throughout DuPage County, the team demonstrated exceptional skill, teamwork, and professionalism.

Their commitment and passion paid off with an impressive 7th place finish in the nation, an outstanding accomplishment at such a highly competitive level.

We are incredibly proud of our ProStart students for their perseverance and excellence, and for representing our community with such distinction.

On Friday, April 24th, 75 of our students proudly represented our TCD at the State SkillsUSA Competition, competing across seven categories: Firefighting, Cosmetology, Esthetics, Nail Care, Carpentry, Criminal Justice, and First Aid/CPR. Their dedication and hard work paid off, with students earning placements in five of the seven competitions. https://edl.io/n2192803

On Thursday, March 26th the TCD Professional Cooking, Baking, and Service program held their annual Foundation Dinner.

The foundation dinner is a special evening featuring live culinary action stations run by our alumni and industry partners, a decadent dessert buffet, and passed appetizers. Guests also enjoy a silent auction and raffle prizes. All proceeds support PCBS student activities and scholarships.

Thanks to everyone who came out to support our students and a special thanks to all the chefs who worked the food stations with our students.
