The Dallas / Fort Worth Kendo & Iaido Kyokai is a dojo and non-profit founded in 1976.

We strive to educate the community about the Kendo, Iaido, and Jodo martial arts, as well as Japanese culture. We provide demonstrations and lectures on these martial arts, as well as instruction, seminars and tournaments. We provide the opportunity to improve one's physical, mental, and spiritual self.

We had an outstanding weekend in Tulsa! Congrats to our A Team who won first place, and to Leo Adachi, who received the Kantosho award for the youth division. We sent 4 adult teams and 1 youth team and each member gave a great effort! 🥇

Another round of applause for our members who passed their rank tests! We had a whopping 16 members rank up! A special congrats to Aoi Suzaki, our newest sensei! 👏🏼

An iaito is a modern metal practice sword, without a sharp edge, used for practicing iaido, a form of Japanese swordsmanship.
