Becoming a flight instructor requires more than mastering maneuvers. It also means learning how to teach, communicate, and make sound decisions from the right seat.

These graduates from our Morristown, Addison South, and Conroe schools took on that challenge through the 30-Day CFI-A/CFI-I Academy.

Congratulations to each group on completing an intensive program designed to prepare them to teach and mentor future pilots.

Weather reports become valuable when a pilot can turn the codes into a clear picture of the flight ahead.

METARs show current airport conditions, while TAFs help pilots anticipate what may change. Understanding both supports better flight planning, stronger situational awareness, and more informed go/no-go decisions.

The moment a new lesson finally clicks is what Zachary Graham finds most rewarding about flight instruction.

At our Pompano Beach school, Zachary enjoys watching students progress from Private Pilot training through CFI. He recently earned a perfect score on his ATP written exam and hopes to build a career flying jet aircraft, whether in private aviation or for an airline.

The team culture at American Flyers is one of the things he values most as he helps future pilots move forward.

The people beside you during training may become the pilots you cross paths with throughout your career.

Our Airline Academy brings together students working toward the same demanding goal. They learn alongside one another, share important milestones, and begin building an aviation community that can extend well beyond graduation.

Congratulations to the graduating classes at Addison South and Pompano Beach. You have earned this moment, and we look forward to seeing where your careers take you. 🎓

The distance between a dream and the cockpit is measured in lessons.

Every hour of flight training brings the future you imagined closer to becoming the life you live. Keep going. You may be closer than you think.

For Tyler Larue, the people at Conroe are what make it a great place to teach.

He values working alongside pilots and fellow instructors who support one another. His favorite part of instructing is watching students succeed in their own aviation journeys.

Next, Tyler plans to begin multi-engine training as he continues building experience toward flying larger aircraft professionally.
