On Wednesdays, Bush wears PINK! 🎀🩷

Throughout October, our Bush Patriots are wearing pink on Wednesdays in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Today, our staff proudly showed up in PINK to honor the fighters, celebrate the survivors, remember those we have lost, and stand alongside every family impacted by breast cancer.

At Bush Elementary, we believe awareness matters, support matters, and community matters. Together, we wear pink with PURPOSE! 🩷🎀

🇺🇸❤️💙 FIRST CLUB DAY = A HUGE SUCCESS! 💙❤️🇺🇸

Our Bush Patriots had an AMAZING time during our very first Club Day! 🎉

From creating and exploring to moving, learning, laughing, and connecting with new friends, our Patriots had the opportunity to discover interests beyond the classroom and simply enjoy being KIDS! 🥰

Club Day is about more than having fun. It’s about belonging, building relationships, discovering new passions, and giving every student a place to SHINE! ⭐

Judging by the smiles we saw today… our first Bush Patriot Club Day was definitely one for the books! ❤️🤍💙

We can’t wait until the next one! 🇺🇸

Our Bush Patriots are excited to celebrate Mr. Dennis, Mr. Daniels, and Mr. Joiner! These incredible gentlemen do so much more than keep our school clean—they care for our campus, our students, and our staff every single day. We are so grateful for the pride and love they pour into Bush! 🥰🧹

💙 Friday, October 2 is National Custodian Day! Help us fill the halls with their favorite color by WEARING BLUE!

Want to add a little extra love? 💕 Their favorites include blue, watermelon, pens, the Dallas Cowboys, Target, Walmart, and Amazon!

They spend every day taking care of our Bush family, so this week, let’s make sure they feel just how much WE appreciate THEM! ❤️🤍💙

Our Bush Patriots SHOWED UP for Attendance Matters while kicking off Hispanic Heritage Month! 🇲🇽🇵🇷🇨🇴🇸🇻🇭🇳✨ Our hallways were filled with beautiful traditional attire, vibrant colors, and so much cultural pride.

At Bush, attendance is more than being present—it’s about showing up to learn, connect, celebrate, and belong! We loved seeing our Patriots proudly represent the rich cultures and traditions that make our school community so special. ❤️🤍💙

❤️🤍💙 Lunch tastes a little sweeter with Grandma and Grandpa! 💙🤍❤️

Today, Bush Elementary was filled with a little extra love as we welcomed our amazing grandparents to campus for a special Grandparents Day Lunch! 🥰

Our Patriots had the opportunity to sit down, share a meal, laugh, talk, hug, and simply enjoy time with some of the people who love them most. Watching our students’ faces light up as their grandparents walked through our doors was priceless. ❤️

These may have looked like simple lunch moments, but we know they were so much more. They were memories being made—the kind our students and their grandparents will hold onto long after today. 🥹

To every grandparent and grand-friend who joined us today, thank you for taking the time to show up for your Patriot. Thank you for the love, wisdom, encouragement, and support you pour into their lives.

At Bush, we know it takes a village—and today, we were blessed to have a beautiful part of that village sitting right at our lunch tables. ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

Yesterday, Bush Elementary was covered in RED, WHITE & BLUE, and our Patriots understood the assignment! ❤️🤍💙 From our littlest Patriots to our big kids—and even our staff—school spirit was EVERYWHERE!

But the best part? OUR PATRIOTS WERE AT SCHOOL! 🎉📚

Every day at Bush is another opportunity to learn, grow, connect, and make memories. When our students are here, they are building the skills they need for tomorrow—and we LOVE seeing those smiling faces walk through our doors! 🥰

🇺🇸 PATRIOTS HONOR PATRIOTS 🇺🇸

Today, our Bush Patriots came together for a special Patriot Day remembrance. ❤️🤍💙

Our students observed a moment of silence, shared heartfelt words honoring those who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001, and then filled our front garden with American flags as a symbol of remembrance, unity, and hope. 🇺🇸

Each little flag carries a BIG message: We remember. We honor. We stand together.

Today was more than a lesson in history. It was an opportunity to teach our Patriots about compassion, gratitude, service, and what it means to come together as a community.

WE ARE INVITING OUR BUSH GRANDPARENTS FOR LUNCH! 💗

We are excited to invite all grandparents from our George H. W. Bush Elementary community to share a very special moment with their students during our Lunch with Grandparents event on Monday, September 14! 🥰

📝 Due to limited capacity, each student may have a maximum of 2 grandparents visit, and one registration form must be completed for each student.

⏰ Lunch Time:
Grandparents will join their student during their student's regular lunch time. The lunch schedule is shown in one of the images above.

🍱 Food Options:
Guests are welcome to bring their own food or, if they prefer, purchase lunch from the school cafeteria. If you plan to purchase food from the cafeteria, we recommend bringing exact change or make a deposit to your students account in advance.

🎉⚓ CONGRATULATIONS, MRS. MARTIN! ⚓🎉

Help us celebrate our Staff Member of the Month, Mrs. Martin! ❤️💙

Mrs. Martin is one of our incredible Lead ESL Teachers, and she is truly making waves at Bush Elementary! 🌊 She leads meaningful PLCs, advocates passionately for our Emergent Bilingual and English as a Second Language students, and works tirelessly to help our students and families feel welcomed, supported, and successful as they transition into the Bush family.

But her impact doesn’t stop with students! 💛 Mrs. Martin also pours into our new teachers, helping them navigate the transition into the teaching profession with encouragement, guidance, and a whole lot of heart.

Mrs. Martin, thank you for being a leader, mentor, advocate, and champion for our Patriots! Your dedication reminds us that while we may speak different languages, we are all working toward the same bright future! 🌎✨
