September meeting recap!

Hello ASD4 Music Families!

Quick recap of September's meeting.
1. Budget for the 2026-2027 was discussed.
2. Fundraisers were put in place. Dominoes for October and Wolves game for December.
3. Event dates were added to calendar.
4. Parents are being asked to share their emails for communication regarding anything music related. :)
5. Looking for Parents to shadow board members as the President and Treasurer are on their last term.
6. Next meeting is October 13th at 5:30pm.

Today! 3pm!

SUNDAY, AUGUST 30: Join the Village of Addison and the Medinah Shriners for this year’s parade, themed “America@250: Let Freedom Ring!” on Sunday, August 30th. The parade steps off from Addison Trail High School at 3pm and travels east to Kennedy Drive, so be sure to line the streets to witness the spectacle! Road closures will start at 2pm and last until approximately, 5pm.

This year, you can expect new and exciting units to join us, including The Jesse White Tumbling Team, New Generation Fancy Drill Team & Performance Arts Ensemble, the Illinois Region Model A Restorer’s Club, The Blooze Brothers mobile, and the Potts & Pans Steelband

Make plans now to come out and celebrate America 250 and the end of Summer on Sunday, August 30th with us! Any updates will be posted to the Village of Addison Special Events page. We look forward to seeing you out there, Addison! For more information visit ItHappensInAddison.com!

Congratulations Mr. Manint!!!

Congratulations to our Director of Bands and Jazz Bands, Mason Manint, on being named a 2026 IGSMA Barbara Buehlman Young Conductor’s Award recipient!

This incredible honor recognizes Mason’s outstanding leadership, dedication, and commitment to his students and music education.

His peers shared:

“Under Mason’s leadership the Indian Trail Bands and Jazz Ensemble have consistently earned the highest ratings at IGSMA District and State Contests.”

“Mason is a team player in his department and goes above and beyond for his students.”

“Mason is organized and always striving to push himself and his students to be better than they were yesterday.”

We are so proud to have Mason leading our students and inspiring them to grow both musically and personally. Congratulations, Mason!

Addison Trail’s Theatre Summer Camp is back July 27–31 for students entering third through ninth grade. Campers will explore acting, theatre games, rehearsals, and technical theatre while preparing for a special performance.
