🎓 50 Years Later! 🎓

📣On July 25th, the Class of 1976 gathered to celebrate their 50-year class reunion!

One of the highlights of their weekend was getting to walk through the current middle school, the very building where so many of their high school memories were made.

Walking down those halls brought back a flood of unforgettable moments, laughter, and lifelong friendships. It’s hard to believe 50 years have passed, but the memories are as fresh as ever.

Online registration is NOW OPEN for both new and returning students to the Adams-Friendship School District for the upcoming school year!

We are hosting an in-person registration and support day. If you need computer access or help with the process, please stop in.

🚨 FRAUD ALERT: School Email Scam Targeting Students! 🚨

We’ve received reports of a mobile check fraud scheme actively targeting student email accounts at Adams- Friendship Area Schools. This scam is designed to trick students into losing their money and facing legal trouble.

⚠️ HOW IT WORKS (The Fake Check & Mobile Deposit Scam):

The Hook: Scammers send a "money opportunity" or fake job email containing a digital copy of a check.

The Instruction: The scammer asks the student to deposit the check using their bank's Mobile Deposit feature.

The Ask: They immediately tell the student to send a portion of the money (often via Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, etc.) back to them.

The Result: The check bounces (it’s fake), and the student is left owing the bank the entire amount, including the money sent to the scammer.

💰 The money they ask you to send back is real (yours). The money they "gave" you is fake.

🛑 PROTECT YOUR STUDENT:

Talk to your student about this specific mobile deposit scam.

NEVER deposit a check from someone you don’t know.

Schools and real employers do not ask you to "forward funds" via Zelle or Venmo.

Forward any suspicious emails to our IT/Admin department immediately. Help us keep our community safe.
