This national initiative recognizes and thanks the people who help feed, clothe and sustain our communities and our future. With Adams selected as a tour stop, it was a special opportunity to celebrate the next generation of agricultural leaders right here in our community.

South Jefferson High School is excited to kick off their brand new recognition program: ๐’๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐Œ๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ก!

This program is an opportunity to celebrate students for more than just academic achievement. When considering a nomination, we are looking for students who demonstrate one or more of the following:

๐‚๐‡๐€๐‘๐€๐‚๐“๐„๐‘ โ€“ Kind, respectful, trustworthy, and consistently does the right thing.

๐†๐‘๐Ž๐–๐“๐‡ โ€“ Has shown noticeable academic, behavioral, or personal improvement.

The SJ FFA Feeding Our World class is working hard to grow fresh food that will make its way right into our school cafeteria this school year!

Working closely with our Food Service Director, students are growing produce and herbs that can be used for the salad bar, fruit desserts, homemade soups and other cafeteria ingredients.

From hydroponic systems and growing racks indoors to the FFA-maintained garden outside, our students are finding new ways to grow food and put their hard work to work for their fellow Spartans.

And theyโ€™re keeping track of every pound of food they produce for our cafeteria! At the end of the school year, students hope to share their results with our community and show just how much they were able to grow. ๐Ÿ™Œ
