Freeman Public School Community Library

We are SO sorry to have to do this, but until we have the genrefying of the elementary side complete, we are going to close the community library on Saturdays. This will be for the remaining of July. It would be a struggle to do storytime and craft amongst the controlled chaos. We plan to resume as normal in August!

Again, we are SO sorry for the inconvenience!!

You are welcome still to swing by on Tuesday mornings this month…don’t mind the mess! It has to get worse before it gets better and I promise you it’ll be worth it!! We are happy to help find whatever book you may be looking for!

I know this looks scary… but I promise it’ll be worth the mess! Elementary side genrefication has begun! Unfortunately, this means we need to close the community library until we are finished! I will keep you posted as to when we are ready for patrons again! For now, NO SATURDAY LIBRARY ON JULY 6TH. I know we’ve been closed for a couple weeks on Saturday and I apologize for that inconvenience…but we have to get this done before school starts up! It will be so much easier to find what you’re looking for once we are done! We can’t wait for you to see! 🥰📚

What a great finish to our summer reading program!! Todays magical book took us camping and hiking! They got to color their own special camping bookmarks and enjoy a delicious campfire cupcake thanks to Suzy’s Sweets! We also drew for our big prizes today!! Below are some pictures of just a few of the winners! I think the prizes were a huge hit! Thank you SO much to all of our donors who helped make all of those prizes possible! We are SO thankful!!

Also, a personal thank you from Mrs. Sales to everyone who participated this summer!! I was absolutely blown away by the turn out and am so thankful to each of you! I can’t wait for next summer! Keep reading and come see me in the library on Tuesdays and Saturdays yet this summer!

Mrs. Sales is gone this upcoming Saturday and Saturday the 29th we want to make sure everyone is able to participate in the Adam’s 4th of July fun around town! Sorry for the inconvenience!

Another awesome morning at the Summer Reading Program! Today our magical book took us back to the land of Pirates!! We read some fun books and then everyone got to make their own pirate map! I saw lots of pirates all over the library today! 🏴‍☠️📚

Today’s magical book took us back to the land of dragons and knights and princesses to ready some fairytale style stories! Our freshly transformed Princes and Princesses then got to make their own crown! 👑 🏰

It was an AMAZING first day to the Summer Reading Program! ❤️📚

The first adventure our magical book took us on was to Outer Space!! We read some awesome books about outer space and then the kids got to decorate their very own rocket ships!! It was a fun morning! I wonder where we will go next week?!

Lincoln got an awesome sandcastle building kit and bubbles today! Both of them were only off by around 2000 books! The grand total of books in the Freeman Library is 17,469!!

We will be offering a *new* kids size cup of (decaffeinated) tea for $5, or an adult size regular tea (or decaf if you’d prefer) for $7! All teas will be premade and ready to drink right then and there and ONLY available at the summer reading program on Tuesdays in June from 10:00am-11:30am! 🙂

“Adventure Awaits” at the library this summer!! Mrs. Sales has been putting together a super fun summer reading program for ALL AGES!! (That’s right parents, I’m talking to you too!) Every Tuesday in June from 10:00am-11:30am we want all ages to join us for a super fun summer reading program full of books, activities and crafts!! Oh… did I mention PRIZES FOR ALL AGES?!? 👏👏 Thanks to several awesome local bookstores and businesses and the village board for we are going to have some great incentives and prizes worth reading for this year!!

We are officially past the last predicted freeze in our Area which means bring on the flowers!! 🌸 🌻🌹(I spoke too soon, just got a freeze warning for tonight! 🤣🤣🤦🏻‍♀️)

In honor of planting days ahead we read 3 books about different ways we can plant flowers and how important they are for the butterfly’s and bees!

They then made their very own flower pots! Everyone’s flowers were so colorful and beautiful! ❤️

It was a packed house at the Library this morning!! These types of busy Library mornings fill my heart with such joy! 🥰 With spring comes bugs, so we read 3 books about different bugs and then made our own beautiful Butterfly creations! 🦋
