Another "shout-out" goes to... "Mrs. Schansky was the best teacher we have ever had for our son. She saw him for the unique little boy he is and tailored her teaching to him. 4 years later still our favorite."

A Thursday morning teacher shout-out we received:
"I will be forever grateful to kindergarten teacher Joy Katt at Ada Elementary for taking her personal time (45 minutes on a Sunday night phone call!) to ensure our daughter was having as much success at home as she was at school. That can be tricky with a sensory processing disorder, but Mrs. Katt didn't let Meg's success in holding herself together at school determine whether Meg was actually thriving. She wanted to be certain our sweet girl was thriving at home too. The tools she gave our daughter are still with her in her 5th-grade classroom--and she's thriving at school AND at home!"

And a shout-out- to a speech-language therapist: "Jackie LaFontaine is an incredible asset at Ada Elementary. She was instrumental in helping our son with speech therapy!"

Ada Elementary was well represented at the State of the District lunch today. Mrs. VanAntwerp, Mrs. Redmond, and Ms. Bennett were invited to speak about all the great things happening at Ada and our PTO hosted a table. The lunch is a fundraiser for the Forest Hills Foundation, which supports learning and innovation within FHPS. What a great day to be an Ada Ranger!

Our efforts to recycle more at Ada have been increased due to our AMAZING students! Starting this week, students are encouraged to recycle plastic forks, spoons, and sporks. Let your kids know! #AdaPride 🌎
