Our patrol division is growing! Open tryouts will be conducted Thursday, April 10, at 9 a.m. at Lighthorse headquarters, 1130 W. Main in Ada.

Pre-registration or prior certification is NOT required. Applicants should wear gym clothes for a fitness assessment that includes tests for strength, flexibility and agility as well as a 1.5-mile run.

The vacancies are based in our Ada Precinct, which serves residents of Coal, Garvin, Murray, Pontotoc and Johnston counties.

Officers assigned to the Ada Precinct may reside anywhere within the Chickasaw Nation boundaries of Coal, Garvin, Murray, Pontotoc and Johnston counties. If living outside these counties, officers must reside within 25 miles of Lighthorse headquarters in Ada.
