Homecoming 2026, “Spirit of Roary: A Haunting in Tiger Town,” is set for Saturday, October 24th!

This year’s parade will begin at 11 a.m. and travel downtown Ada towards campus. Following the parade, Homecoming celebrations will continue with Trunk-or-Treat, tailgating and Tiger football against Southwestern Oklahoma State set to begin at 3 p.m.

Whether you wish to walk in the parade, feature a float or drive a vehicle, all are welcome and encouraged to participate in this year’s Halloween season themed festivities.

This Saturday, marching bands from across the state will compete in Koi Ishto Stadium at Tigerpalooza: The Bron Warren Tournament of Bands!

Tigerpalooza was organized in 2010 in memory of Bron Warren. Proceeds from the marching band contest fund scholarships for members of the East Central University Pride of Tigerland Band. The event and scholarship’s namesake, Hugh Bronson “Bron” Warren III, was a 2007 ECU graduate and a talented multi-instrumentalist.

Honoring a legacy, building for the future.

Today we held the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new Dan Hays STEM Center!

Named for our first patron and donor, Dan Hays, the center represents both a connection to the our earliest days and a significant investment in the future of ECU.

Groundbreaking for the Dan Hays STEM Center took place in June 2024. Just over two years later, the School of Nursing and the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science moved from Science Hall, our oldest building, constructed in 1910, into their new home in time for the fall 2026 semester.

The center provides flexible dry laboratory spaces that support interdisciplinary science and mathematics education, along with active-learning classrooms designed to expand and enhance existing STEM programs.
