Representatives from the McAlester Army Am******on Plant (MCAAP) visited campus this week to share exciting career opportunities with our students. Thank you Operations Maintenance Chief Jason Tucker, Production Mechanic Supervisor Stephen Nohelty, and Human Resource Specialists Kirby Smith and Crystal Irwin for making the trip to PTC!

MCAAP relies heavily on skilled trade workers to support its critical national defense mission. "We operate like a small city, and any trade jobs you would find in a small city, you’ll find at MCAAP," Tucker highlighted.

Artificial intelligence continues to advance as a tool, but it will not replace hands-on tradespeople. The future for long-term careers, with excellent long-term benefits, is brighter than ever for skilled workers.

Three Points of Contact - HVAC class practices ladder safety in the heat of the day. Getting a taste of the real-world (heat) conditions while remaining safe in their work, students gained practical experience operating safely at heights—exactly like they'll be doing on commercial rooftops after graduation. Safety isn't just a rule in our shop; it's a habit.
