2nd anual nutrition challenge! Become more educated on nutrition and lower body fat percentage. Hosted by CrossFit Kairos, Oct. 2nd-Nov. 10th
CrossFit Kairos would like to invite you to our second annual nutrition challenge. We are so excited to be hosting this community based challenge. The purpose is to bring awareness to the foods we eat and reaching our weight loss /muscle gain/general health goals as a community. Changing the way, we eat is hard so together we thought it would more fun to journey together. This is a six-week challe
nge that is meant to be fun, inspirational, educational and challenging! It will be whatever you make it, so have fun and use the motto “Adapt and Overcome” as much as you can. Not every meal will you be able to control, not every day are you going to get to visit that amazing place called Kairos. That is life, so we have to learn to “Adapt and Overcome” in the challenge to do it well outside of the challenge. Here are the details:
Each team will be consisting of 6 members and each member will be working toward their specific goal. Some members will be working toward muscle gain while shedding fat, some will focus mainly on fat loss, while others will focus on a clean healthy diet and lifestyle. Registration is $40.00 per person the majority of it will go towards the cash prize pot and a challenge T-shirt! Cash or Check only and paid by October 3rd. There are three standards each team member must abide by:
1) Each day post the day’s food and beverage intake on facebook group “You ate what?” One post listing every food or drink you put in your mouth that day. OR if you are not a facebooker emailing that list to [email protected]
2) Complete three workouts a week at CrossFit Kairos (MAKE SURE YOU CHECK IN TO CLASS TO RECEIVE ATTENDANCE)
3) Check-in on Monday’s or Tuesday’s from 11:45-5:15 for Body fat % check
We are focusing on Body Fat % instead of the scale. On Monday October 2nd we will be weighing in, finding out body fat% and taking before photos at CrossFit Kairos from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Wear tight clothes or be prepared to take shorts and sport bra photos. We will measure your body fat each week. Body Fat check in’s will be Monday’s and Tuesday’s from 11:45 to 5:15, may sure you do not workout before. If you can’t make those times, please email us at [email protected] and we can arrange a different time with you. Each week the teams of 6 will have a nutrition challenge and fitness challenge. A way to earn some points. Monday’s we will also have a guest speaker come in to talk about different areas of wellness. Because of schedules we choose with our guest speakers Monday’s at 6:30 pm to 7:30 will be our speaking spot. That impacts our 6:30 peeps so we can make a 7:30 class if that works for yall. The guest speakers are optional, but will be worth points as well. We have been offered the opportunity to utilize CrossPointe Churches Kitchen on Sundays for group meal prep!! This will be fun and helpful. Right now we will only meet 2 Sundays a month to prep for two weeks of meals. As a group it will go faster and be so much more fun! At the end of the six weeks we will have a reveal party where we will celebrate our accomplishments and reveal the highest body fat % loss individual winner, who is the cash prize winner. There will also be prizes for the weekly point’s team winners.
