CW Students have PRIDE in their positive behavior! PRIDE is the district-wide acronym for our positive behavior expectations at school: P=Persistent, R=Respectful, I=Inclusive, D=Dependable, E=Every Day! This week, students are learning what each of the PRIDE Expectations looks like, sounds like, and feels like in every location at school. With their team of students, your child is visiting locations such as the Playground, Office, Bathroom, Cafetorium, and Hallway for PRIDE lessons taught by our school staff. More information on PRIDE at CW will be shared via school messenger to your email address!

While our amazing Rangers have already taken flight from CW, we would be remiss if we did not give a huge shout out to Mr. Du Bui, STEM consultant at Kent ISD. Mr. Bui taught Mrs. Tolly’s class how to fly drones, and what careers could be associated with drone technology. What a great career exploration opportunity!

Chef Daisy is one of our three amazing school chefs - and she’s a CW mom, too! Out of the kindness of her heart, she wanted to introduce the staff of CW to the flavors from her homeland, Albania. From homemade pasta, homemade bread and homemade dough for börek, Daisy and her husband created the most wonderful lunch. Thank you so much, Chef Daisy!!
Being the I in KIND.
The HIT Team, along with Mrs. Dombrowski, is working to spread positivity throughout CW. By taking a note of kindness, leaving a new note in its place - and then passing that kindness along, the CW students are working together to spread compassion to others. Go Rangers!
Congratulations to these Rangers! They placed 1st in the Michigan Statistical Poster Contest through GVSU. Their winning poster, "Porosity of Rocks,” is now being sent on to the National Competition.
