Congratulations to the Ada BOLT Robotics team on completing their first season. This was the first year that the team competed. They participated in two VEX Tipping Point competitions. First, at Marion Harding High School where the team finished in the top 8 out of 32 teams! Second, at Mount Vernon University where the team finished in the top third out of 42 teams.
Shout to all our 7th grade students on their Science Fair projects! We had 14 students qualify for the District Science Fair! Congratulations to our top 3 finishers.

In the elementary, the G in Bulldog is Generous. The 4th graders worked to gather hygiene product donations as an act of generosity for their Christmas project. Our 4th graders donated 567 hygiene items for their Christmas project. The most items collected ever!

May 1st will be the 2nd annual Ada Junior Track Meet! There was a great turn-out last year. All students in grades K-6 are encouraged to participate. Medals will be awarded to top places and every student will get a T-Shirt.

Students were provided the registration form below last Friday. Additional copies are available in the elementary office if needed. Registration forms are due this Thursday. Go BULLDOGS!

Thank you to Ada-Liberty EMS Chief Tom Miller and Mercy Health EMS coordinator Brian Anderson for teaching our seniors about how to respond to medical emergencies. These sessions emphasized that as a friend, family member, teammate, coworker or bystander they may someday be in a position to save someone's life.

Our elementary door decorating contest was so fun! A big thank you to our Liberty Village Preschool staff for judging this year! It was a very difficult choice, but our winners have been selected. Our K-2 winner was Mrs. Klingler and our 3-5 winner was Mrs. Burnett!

All third graders read Balloons Over Broadway to learn about the history of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Then they each made their own balloon puppet and had a little parade!

Ada students and staff wore shirts today to honor Mr. Faine, which was a custom shirt designed by senior Shaina Phillips. The shirt features Mr. Faine surrounded by super heroes and on the back has his quote, "Put a smile on your face and make something special of it." Money earned from the t-shirt sales was given to the Faine family in his honor.

This robot is designed and built by the Advanced VEX Robotics class to compete in their final challenge. As you can see in the video, the robot pulls the balls into the robotic cartridge and then shoots them out through the openings in the wall.

Congratulations to teacher Mrs. Arlene Allison on being awarded as the Ada Distinguished Citizen of the Year today from the Town and Gown committee. Mrs. Allison volunteers for many different organizations throughout our community and she is very deserving. Way to go Arlene Lasko Allison!
