On February 4th at 1:30pm we gained two tiny additions to Farm School! Buttercup gave birth to her second set of twins and is already such an amazing mama. They are both girls and still unnamed so please give us all of your name suggestions💕

Welcome to the farm, Jack! This handsome Nigerian Dwarf goat is visiting for a few weeks to hang out with Oreo and Cake Pop. Goats have a 5 month gestation. Fingers crossed for spring kids! 🤞

It’s another girl! Mable was born the day of our Halloween party on 10/30/24. Many of our teachers witnessed the birth and all of the families got to meet a very fresh newborn at the party. She is already loving running around with Millie Moo, who was born on 10/11/24.
Our 11 acre farm, with its woods, Nature Trails, fields, child planted gardens, fruit trees, barnyard and schoolhouse, provides opportunities for a vast amount of meaningful first-hand learning experiences. Our 3 hour days may include activities such as planting, caring for, harvesting and preserving foods, tracking wild animals in the snow, and watching the birthing of baby animals and caring for them as they grow. Observing insects and their habits, making our own butter, cheese or applesauce are also part of the program.
Individual Growth in the self, social and cognitive areas is stimulated through varied activities, including creative dramatics, arts and crafts, music experiences, puppet plays, creative movement and science experiments. Pre-readiness reading, writing and math skills are presented in a relaxed, fun appropriate format to match varied developmental needs. Special activities like horse rides, cookouts, hikes, and scavenger hunts provide added variety to our unique learning programs.
Our Philosophy is to help children gain love and respect for our world. It is our hope that they will develop responsibility for all living things, including their peers.
