4-H Fundraising Back In The Day! A trip to France was probably a lot cheaper then too. 🀣

Roots of 4-H Wednesday!

In 1921-1922 formation of the National Committee on Boys’ and Girls’ Club Work for the purpose of obtaining private support for club work. Private support provided trips, awards and events outside the scope of public funding. A team of Iowa Canning Club girls won a national canning contest in 1922. For their achievements, they were awarded a trip to France where they gave canning demonstrations.

Our schedule was full with mosaics, tie dye backpacks, ice cream in a bag, jelly fish and a little STEM making light sabers. A huge thank you to Teen Leaders Amanda, Matthew, Daniel, 4-H Volunteer Christie and other adults who helped us accomplish so much. Regular Cloverbud meetings start again in October!
