What a great turnout last week! The Mu Delta Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi hosted its annual Meet the Firms event in McIntosh Center, giving Accounting and Finance students the chance to meet with employers and share their resumes for internships and post-grad jobs. It was a wonderful chance to show off the talent here in DCBA. A big thank-you to all the employers who traveled to Ada to be part of it!

Dr. Aggie’s Strategies and Campaigns class had a fantastic visit to Davey as part of the collaborative work we’re undertaking this semester! Davey Tree Expert Co. beautiful SEED Campus provided an inspiring setting for students to learn, connect and turn classroom ideas into real-world experience. The tour was insightful, and the hospitality truly couldn’t be beat.
A big thank-you to the Davey team and alumnus Sandra Reid for welcoming us and investing in the next generation of PR and Social Media professionals. We’re excited for what’s ahead!

Ohio Northern University alumna Caroline (Woodworth) Schumacher, BA ’99, is in the business of bringing joy to children who need it most. As the president and CEO of Give Kids The World Village, she leads a whimsical Central Florida resort that provides weeklong, cost-free vacations to between 7,000 and 8,000 children with critical illnesses and their families every year.

After a bitterly cold and snowy winter on the Tundra, Schumacher graduated and moved to Florida, where she found employment at the Tampa Port Authority. When a position as a volunteer coordinator opened at Give Kids The World Village, she applied and landed the position. She steadily rose through the organization, taking on increasing responsibility.
