Congratulations to our very own Syd Ryan for being chosen to the 2024 MHSSA D2 All-State Dream Team! 🎉 Syd was always a force on the field for RGSO this year in the mid-field who would either take the ball in for a goal or provide a dangerous assist for a goal. We cannot wait to watch her play next year as she moves on to play for Grand Valley State University Lakers this fall. Go get 'em Syd! 💚

SYDNEY ‘SYD’ RYAN, Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central Sr. M:

After playing solely for two years with Midwest United on the ECNL club circuit, the two-year prep standout has helped Forest Hills Central win back-to-back district titles in Division 2 and keep the school’s footprint in the Division 2 top-15 rankings. The NCAA Division II Grand Valley State signee will be part of a stellar incoming freshmen class with the Lakers in August but not before she made an impact with the Rangers the past two years. This year, Ryan helped her team finish 16-6-1, third in the OKC-White Division and district champs as one of the team leaders in assists and goals but also generated quite a few ‘hockey assists” as the fuel to the fire in Forest Hills Central’s powerful engine. She earned All-OKC-White Division, All-District, All-Area, All-Region, All-State First Team and All-State Dream Team as a senior this year. Ryan was All-State Third Team as a junior.
