Death toll from 7.2-magnitude earthquake in Haiti rises to over 1,200 people The Haitian government declared a state of emergency after a 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck the country Saturday, leaving at least 1,297 people dead and more than 5,700 injured, according to the country's civil protection agency.

Carnival is always a big deal in Haiti.
This is very sad for business and those work hard to enjoy a vacation.

Violence forces Haiti to cancel Carnival Haiti's biggest celebration of the year, Carnival, has been canceled after deadly protests and gunfire interrupted the first day of festivities in Port-au-Prince, leaving at least one person dead.

Ten years - Haiti still needs our prayers.

Ten years after Haiti’s earthquake: A decade of aftershocks and unkept promises Tent cities remain in Haiti, where an earthquake on Jan. 12, 2010, claimed 316,000 lives. Donors and the government promised better construction, free housing and an economic revitalization. It hasn’t materialized.

I have connected him with some of our friends who will help him get to the doctor. This has been a long journey for him and can be serious. Things in Haiti are hard right now. Would you pray with us that we can get him the help and medicine he needs for his leg.
